Estimated Credit Lookup
Look up your estimated tax credit
Enter your parcel number to see the County's estimate of how much you were overcharged for 2023 and 2024 and the credit you would receive on your 2026, 2027, and 2028 tax bills if the settlement is approved.
Where do I find my parcel number?
Your parcel number (also called a parcel ID or PIN) is a 17-digit number such as 03-100-01-07-00-0-00-000. It appears on your Jackson County real estate tax bill and receipt, and on the Notice of Proposed Class Action Settlement mailed to Class members. You can also find it by searching your address on the Jackson County Collector’s tax search.
About these estimates
The Overage is calculated from the County's assessment and tax records using the methodology approved by the Court in the Settlement Agreement. For each property, the County capped the 2023 assessed valuation at a 15% increase over the 2022 valuation, recalculated the 2023 and 2024 taxes at the rates actually applied to the property, and subtracted that amount from the tax actually paid. The result is the “Overage,” which is returned as a credit in three installments on the 2026, 2027, and 2028 tax bills.
The County's file, dated October 8, 2026, contains calculations for 125,790 parcels. The County has not yet calculated the remaining Class parcels.
For 65,109 parcels the County has not calculated, Class Counsel has prepared a preliminary estimate from the assessment and tax records the County has produced, as of October 23, 2026. Those results are labeled as Class Counsel estimates. They have not been reviewed or confirmed by the County and may change when the County completes its calculation. For another 21,593 parcels on the class lists, the County's records are not sufficient to calculate an estimate; the lookup explains why for each parcel.
Estimates are not a guarantee of any amount. They may change before credits are applied, and no credit or payment will be issued unless the Court grants final approval at the Fairness Hearing on November 23, 2026. For how the credit works, including what happens if you sold the property, read the FAQs.
This lookup does not display owner names or mailing addresses. Each search is recorded (parcel number searched and whether an estimate was found) so Class Counsel can identify parcels that are missing from the class lists or the County's calculations.
